Live and event mode
Go Live makes new uploads appear for clients within seconds. Event mode adds a big QR code for guests and a one-time QR for each new photo, so guests can grab their own picture on the spot.
On this page
These tools are for shooting at an event and delivering while you are still there.
Go Live
- Open the gallery.
- Tap Go Live. It changes to Live, and the gallery row shows a pulsing Live badge.
While a gallery is live, anyone who has it open sees new photos arrive by themselves within about ten seconds, with a + new button that jumps to them. They see a LIVE badge at the top. Tap Live again to turn it off.
Capture straight from your phone
When a gallery is live, a Capture button appears. Tap it to open your phone's camera. Each photo you take uploads to the gallery straight away.
Event mode
Tap Event to switch event mode on. It does two things:
- the gallery's QR code switches to a large event style, ready to show guests
- after every upload, a New Photo box shows a one-time QR code for the last photo you uploaded, with Copy and Dismiss
Guests see a Your photos are ready! banner at the top of the gallery. It has a Download All button for every photo (when downloads are on) and a share button.
The gallery QR code
Tap QR in the toolbar to show the gallery's QR code. Show it full screen for guests to scan, tap Download QR to print it, or Copy Link. The gallery needs a share link first. If it has none, tap Create Share Link. See Sharing a gallery.
Guest QR: one photo, one person
A guest QR is a link to a single photo. It works on the first phone that opens it and nowhere else. Use it to give someone their own photo without giving them the whole gallery.
- Open the photo (or use ···, then Guest QR).
- Tap Guest QR.
- Let the guest scan the code, or tap Copy to send the link. Fullscreen makes it bigger and shows Scan to get your photo.
- Tap Done.
The guest sees the photo with a heart, Comment and, if downloads are on, Save. If someone else tries the same link on another phone, they see Link already used.
See and cancel guest QR codes
In the Share panel, open Guest QR Tokens. It lists every guest QR you made as Not yet scanned, Scanned or Revoked, with totals. Tap Revoke on any unused code to cancel it. Tap Refresh to update the list.
Good to know
- Live and event mode only change how the gallery behaves for clients. They never change your photos.
- If downloads are switched off in Gallery settings, guests can view their photo but not save it.
- A guest QR stops working if the gallery expires or is offline.
